The following questions are about trauma-related symptoms. As a first responder we understand that you are likely to be exposed to many potentially
traumatic events, the following questions ask you to focus on the most stressful/distressing.

You can skip these questions if you've not experienced a trauma.

What is trauma? i Trauma is a response to an event or experience that feels overwhelming, frightening, or deeply distressing. It often involves a threat to a person’s safety, life, or sense of security. Trauma can happen directly, be witnessed, or be experienced indirectly — such as learning about a traumatic event affecting someone else. People experience trauma in different ways. What feels traumatic to one person might not to another. What matters most is the impact — trauma can affect a person’s sense of safety, emotional wellbeing, and ability to function in everyday life.
